This article will assist you in understanding the features available in the Matches tab in the Edit Competitions area.
To see the features available for Matches, first select a Competition from the dropdown menu.
- If no Matches appear for the selected Competition, this means the Draw has not yet been published in the Draw Builder. Open Draw Builder in the side menu and publish the draw, then it will appear here.
- If you want to work on your Draw after it is published, but you don't want it visible publicly, set your Display Options in Competition settings to "NO".
After selecting a Competition, further options become available:
- Filters - locate Matches by filtering by Round, Date Range, and/or Venue.
- + ADD MATCH - to add an individual Match to your Competition.
- REDO DRAW - once your draw has been published from the Draw Builder, you can complete a redraw for the whole season or from a specific Round.
- BULK EDIT - opens all Matches on the page to edit these fields: Round, Home Team, Away Team, Date & Time, Venue, Field No.
- AUTOMATE FINAL FIXTURES - if a Finals Fixture Template has been selected, use this button each Round of Finals to fill the Teams per their ladder positions and Finals results.
All processes outlined below, start from Matches tab with a Competition already selected.
Filters
Step 1 - Click the FILTERS button and the following popup will display (Filters can be used individually or together):
- Rounds - either select "All Rounds", or a specific Round. You cannot select multiple Rounds at the same time. Finals Matches will appear with their Round Name displayed.
- Date Range - set a Start and End Date for the Date Range you want to see.
- Venues - either select "All Venues", or a specific Venue. You cannot select multiple Venues at the same time.
Step 2 - Click the the SEARCH button when you have applied your Filters.
Step 3 - The Filters button will now display a 1, 2, or 3, depending on the number of Filters applied.
To remove the Filters: click the Filters button then click CLEAR and SEARCH again.
Edit an individual Match
More options are available when opening a Match than in the Bulk Edit View. You can see:
- Match Details- including the Competition, Round, Venue, Home/Away Teams, and TBA/BYE settings
Set your match as TBA if you don't know all the important Match details such the Teams or Venue. Important: Make sure to DE-SELECT TBA setting before updating your Match details.
- Live Details - if this Match will be Live Streamed, you can add the link here and it will display online in the Match Centre.
- (H) Team List - Players and Non-Players that have been added to the Squad can be selected and added to the Team List.
- (A) Team List- Players and Non-Players that have been added to the Squad can be selected and added to the Team List.
- Team Lists can be also completed by a Team Manager through MySideline Manager.
- Click the ADD PREVIOUS TEAM button to add the most Team List from the most recent match, OR;
- Add Players and Non-Players individually by locating them in their drop-down and click the relevant ADD button.
- Ensure to click SUBMIT TEAM LIST button to save!
- Team Lists can be also completed by a Team Manager through MySideline Manager.
- (H) Scores - 0* - add and remove scoring events for the Home Team. "0" will update in the tab heading if a score is added.
- (A) Scores - 0* - add and remove scoring events for the Away Team. "0" will update in the tab heading if a score is added.
- (H) Interchanges - add and remove Interchanges for the Home Team.
- (A) Interchanges - add and remove Interchanges for the Away Team.
- This also includes: HIA, Sin Bin, and other forms of interchange.
- Team Sheets - generate PDF Team Sheets for the Match
Step 1 - Locate and select the Match you wish to edit. You may wish to use the Filters to locate the relevant Match.
Step 2 - Select the tab you wish to edit (Match Details tab is selected by default).
Step 3 - Make the required changes and ensure to SAVE your changes (or Submit Team List).
Bulk Edit
This option opens all Matches on the page to edit these fields:
- Round
- Home Team
- Away Team
- Date & Time
- Venue
- Field No
Ensure to SAVE your changes before changing pages.
You may wish to use the Filters option to help find the Matches.
To edit other Match details, you will need to select and edit it individually.
To update Match Scores in bulk, it is recommended to use the Match Scores tab.
+ ADD MATCH
Use this option to add an individual Match to your Competition.
Step 1 - Click the + ADD MATCH button.
Step 2 - Complete the relevant fields in the Match Details tab, and once saved, the other Match tabs will become available.

Redo Draw
If you have published your Draw but wish to do a redraw or upload a new Draw, you can use this option.
Step 1 - Click the REDO DRAW button. You will be given the option to select DRAW IMPORT or DRAW BUILDER. If you need more information on these options, check out this article - MySideline Admin: Draw Builder.
Continue to Step 2 with your chosen Option:
Option 1 - Draw Import
Step 1 - Once the Draw Import page appears, check the Competition Details, including the Teams and Venues, are correct.
- Missing Teams? Return to your Competition and ensure all relevant Teams are allocated
- Missing Venue? Search the Venue name and select from the drop-down menu. Added Venues will appear in the list along with it's Venue ID.
Step 2 - Choose which round to redo the draw from and then the UPLOAD DRAW button.
Step 3 - Upload the excel document that contains the draw. Note: You can download the template if needed. Just click the DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE button at the top right of the page.
Step 4- Once the template is uploaded, click NEXT and then select a finals template if required.
Step 5 - Add any exception dates on the next screen.
Step 6 - After clicking NEXT, check the round numbers and dates. If that is all good, then click the NEXT button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 7 - Once you have checked the match details, you can publish the draw.
Option 2 - Draw Builder
Step 1 - Select the competition you wish to re do the draw for from the Matches menu.
Step 2 - Click on REDO DRAW button then on DRAW BUILDER
Step 3 - Choose what round you would like to re do the draw from.
Step 4 - Check the teams on the next page, and then click the NEXT button.
Step 5 - Select a finals template
Step 6 - Add any exception dates on the next screen.
Step 7 - After clicking NEXT, check the round numbers and dates. If that is all good, then click the NEXT button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 8 - Once you have checked the match details, you can publish the draw.
