In 2026, we’re making Club Rugby League even more fun for kids aged 5 to 9 in Victoria, Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia. Think of it as the same great game, now with a fresh twist! Competitions in your state will be co-branded alongside League Stars and your State's NRL Club.
Launch events are being held in Western Australia (Perth), Northern Territory (Darwin) and Victoria (Melbourne) in April and May.
What is included in the participant pack?
Every registered participant receives a pack that includes a shirt featuring their state’s NRL club:
VIC – Melbourne Storm
WA – Bears
NT – Dolphins
SA – Melbourne Storm

Is there an extra cost for the pack?
No. The pack is free for all participants who are younger than, or turn 9 in 2026.
When will packs be delivered?
- Launch events are being held in Western Australia (Perth), Northern Territory (Darwin) and Victoria (Melbourne) in April and May. Your pack will be delivered to the launch event if the following criteria are met:
- Your registration was submitted AND verified before March 19, 2026
- T-shirt size was provided at the time of registration
- Playing location was within a reasonable distance for the launch event
- Packs not collected from the launch event will be provided to your club to be dispensed.
- If your pack wasn't at the launch event, it will be dispatched to your address throughout the season.
I collected my pack at the launch event, but the t-shirt size is incorrect?
The t-shirt sizes available are kids 4 – 20.
At the time of registration if a different size to kids 4 – 20 was selected an appropriate available size was provided.
I didn’t attend the launch event, but my pack was there?
Any packs not collected directly from the launch event were provided to your club representative.
Please contact your club to organise the pack collection.
I am a registered club player playing in under 9’s or below in season 2026 and my pack wasn’t available at the launch event. How will I receive my pack?
All verified player registrations in WA, NT, SA and VIC for under 5’s, 6’s, 7’s, 8’s and 9’s will receive a League Stars pack.
If your pack wasn’t at the launch event it will be dispatched to your address throughout the season.
What if my child turns 10 in 2026?
Children who turn 10 in 2026 are not eligible for the free pack but can still participate at their club.
What format does the game take for each age group?
Under 6s & Under 7s – Tag Rugby League (non-contact)
Under 8s & Under 9s – Tackle Rugby League (Under 8s also complete a Tackle Ready program delivered by accredited coaches.)
Why is there a Tackle Ready program for Under 8s?
The Tackle Ready program ensures players learn safe and correct tackling techniques before moving into full tackle games.
