In 2026, we’re making Club Rugby League even more fun for kids aged 5 to 9 in Victoria, Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia. Think of it as the same great game, now with a fresh twist! Competitions in your state will be co-branded alongside League Stars and your State's NRL Club.
1. What is included in the participant pack?
Every registered participant receives a pack that includes a shirt featuring their state’s NRL club:
VIC – Melbourne Storm
WA – Bears
NT – Dolphins
SA – Melbourne Storm

2. Is there an extra cost for the pack?
No. The pack is free for all participants who are younger than, or turn 9 in 2026.
3. When will packs be delivered?
Packs will be delivered to your club in March before the season starts. 
4. Can I get a refund if my child doesn’t participate?
As the pack is free of charge there is no refund available. 
5. What format does the game take for each age group?
Under 6s & Under 7s – Tag Rugby League (non-contact)
Under 8s & Under 9s – Tackle Rugby League (Under 8s also complete a Tackle Ready program delivered by accredited coaches.)
6. Why is there a Tackle Ready program for Under 8s?
The Tackle Ready program ensures players learn safe and correct tackling techniques before moving into full tackle games.
7. How do I register?
Registration is through MySideline. Visit playrugbyleague.com for details.
8. What if my child turns 10 in 2026?
Children who turn 10 in 2026 are not eligible for the free pack but can still participate at their club.
9. What size shirt will my child receive?
Within the registration process you will be able to select the shirt size you wish to order. Please ensure correct size is selected as there is no exchanges available.
