MySideline is rugby league's Competition and Participant Membership System, and you can manage aspects of Member registration via MySideline Admin. Read on for further details on utilising the various aspects of Member Management, and handy links to the resources available to assist.
Local and State rules often apply to the registration and movement of Players, so we recommend contacting your local governing body for details on relevant rules and policies applicable to you.
My Members
You can use the My Members section to search and view previous and current registered Members to your entity. Please note that using options 1 or 2 will also display Members from PREVIOUS seasons. Ensure to check if they have a current registration.
- SEARCH BY NAME
Use the First name, Last name, and/or Date of Birth (DOB) search fields to locate current and former registered Members.
After entering the Name and/or DOB, click the top SEARCH button.
You can use the 3x fields together, or search each field individually. If you are looking for a duplicate profile (for example), it can be easier to locate if using only part of the name.
If a Member shows via this search, this does NOT guarantee they are registered in the current season. The participant will generally have a "Member Type" listed in the relevant column if registered in the current season.
- SEARCH BY NRLID / MOBILE / EMAIL
This can search for the Member's NRLID, or their PRIMARY Mobile or Email address.
Click the lower SEARCH button after entering the search term.
If a Member shows via this search, this does NOT guarantee they are registered in the current season. The participant will generally have a "Member Type" listed in the relevant column if registered in the current season.
- FILTER SEARCH
- This searches Members registered in the CURRENT season, and the Member table will update as you enter your search term.
- You can search a First Name, Last Name, OR primary Email address.
- Apply FILTERS
Click the FILTERS button and select the relevant Filters to narrow down your search.
You can choose options within Genders, Age Levels, Member Types, Registration Financial status, and order the Last Registration Date by ascending or descending date.
Select APPLY FILTERS to save your Filters, or CLEAR to remove them.
Member Availability / Unavailability (managed by Association & higher)
Members may be Unavailable due to suspension, a suspected concussion, or another matter as noted in relevant local rules. Association Administrators (and higher) can manage a Member's Availability in their Member Profile.
Association & higher - For details on changing a Member's Availability status, please see Return to Play - Role of the Administrator. Please note the different processes for returning from concussion versus non-concussion. Changes to Availability are recorded in a status timeline, viewable in the Member's Profile in under "Member Availability".
Clubs (& higher) can run the Unavailable Members report for relevant participant details.
Preferred Name Verification
A Preferred First or Last Name will populate if a participant has previously indicated a Preferred Name while registering or editing their Member Profile, otherwise it will be blank.
Currently, a Preferred Name is NOT published on Match Centre or in other channels. To prepare for when it WILL appear publicly, Administrators need to decide if the requested Preferred Name can be approved as is (e.g. Frank instead of Francisco), or removed if not fit for publication (e.g. inappropriate language).
Administrators will be prompted to verify the First and/or Last Name listed in the Preferred Name fields when saving a Member's Profile. If you are unsure the name is correct, or it doesn't meet game policies, DO NOT VERIFY. Clear the Preferred Name fields and check with the participant.
Duplicate Members (Association & higher admin level req.)
Duplicate Resolution (i.e. the merging of duplicate Member Profiles) is generally managed locally by Association Administrators.
Different merging scenarios and instructions on how to complete a merge can be found here: Duplicate Management. The article also outlines which level of the game needs to complete the merge.
It is very important to double check details as once records are merged, they CANNOT be undone.
Clearances / Permits
There are multiple resources currently available to assist with understanding Clearances and Permits. Please see the following Administrator articles for more information:
- What is the difference between a Clearance and a Permit?
- Admin Guide to Clearances and Permits
- Clearances and Permits - Best Practice
- National Clearance and Permits Policy
- International Clearance
Pending Registrations
When a participant registers into MySideline for the first time, their profile will be in a pending status until they are approved by an Administrator. We've created the Admin Guide to Pending Registrations to assist with the approval and decline of Pending registrations.
Please refer to your local rules for policies outlining acceptable registrations.
18 Month Dispensation
Dispensations are approved and declined at an Association level, however applications can also be viewed at Club level. Dispensations may be applied to a player to play up or down age groups.
The 18 Month Registration Policy provides an opportunity for players who are born between July and December to register in the year level immediately below their calendar grouping.
For more details, you can find all the information on the 18 Month Registration Window.
