Most Australian state and territory governments now offer incentives, in the form of Junior Sports Vouchers, to encourage more kids to participate in sport and active recreation. Read on below for more information about Voucher redemption during online registration and what you need to supply to your local Club to complete the process.
Important Notes:
- Check your relevant state/territory's website for more information about eligibility, how to claim/redeem, and when the Voucher Programs open and close - find links to all the government programs here!
- Each state or territory has a different policy covering:

- opening and closing dates - Each Voucher program has its own open/close dates for applications, and for when the Voucher needs to be given to your Approved Activity Provider (i.e. your local Club/Association). Make sure to apply and lodge your Voucher on time!
- who is eligible - varying factors such as the child's age, or potentially having to hold a Health Care or Concession Card.
- how to claim - some processes are entirely online, while others may accept hard copy applications.
- how to redeem - most of our affiliated Community Clubs are Approved Activity Providers, but you'll need to check with your local Club to confirm their redemption process (such as if you need to provide a hard copy Voucher or if an email is OK).

- Supplying your Voucher Code at time of registration does NOT complete the Voucher redemption process at most Clubs/Associations (excluding NSW). Ensure you find out from your local Club how to correctly redeem your Voucher and have it applied to your child's registration fees.
How to redeem a Junior Sports Voucher
I live and play in NEW SOUTH WALES (Active Kids Voucher)
Redeeming your Active Kids Voucher:
Step 1 - Visit the Service NSW website to apply for an Active Kids Voucher. Once your application is complete, you will receive a Voucher with a unique ID number for each child you register.
You MUST have a valid Active Kids Voucher to continue to step 2.
Step 2 - To redeem your voucher, select "Add Active Kids Voucher" on the payment screen during registration.
Step 3 - Enter the Voucher code without the spaces and click ADD.
Step 4 - Your registration fees will be reduced by the Voucher amount and you can now complete your registration.
I live and play in QUEENSLAND (FairPlay Voucher)
Redeeming your FairPlay Voucher:
Important - this process will NOT automatically reduce your registration fees. You still need to supply your Voucher to your local Club/Association for them to redeem your Voucher amount from the QLD government.
Step 1 - Visit the QLD Government website to apply for a FairPlay Voucher. Once your application is complete, you will receive a Voucher with a unique ID Voucher code for each child you register.
You MUST have a valid FairPlay Voucher to continue to step 2.
Step 2 - Enter your FairPlay Voucher code in the Additional Question section of the registration form.
Step 3 - Complete your registration.
If your Club requires payment at time of registration, you may still need to pay the full registration fee at time of registration. Check with your Club for how they manage payment with a FairPlay Voucher.
Step 4 - Present or email a copy of your FairPlay Voucher to your local Club/Association so they can redeem it and apply it to your registration fees.
I live and play in NORTHERN TERRITORY (Sports Voucher)
Redeeming your Sports Voucher:
Important - this process will NOT automatically reduce your registration fees. You still need to supply your Voucher to your local Club/Association for them to redeem your Voucher amount from the NT government.
Step 1 - Visit the NT Government website to apply for a Sports Voucher. Once your application is complete, you will receive a Voucher with a unique ID Voucher code for each child you register.
You MUST have a valid NT Sports Voucher to continue to step 2.
Step 2 -Enter your Sports Voucher code in the Additional Question section of the registration form.

If your Club requires payment at time of registration, you may still need to pay the full registration fee at time of registration. Check with your Club for how they manage payment with a Sports Voucher.
Step 4 - Present or email a copy of your Sports Voucher to your local Club/Association so they can redeem it and apply it to your registration fees.
South Australia - Sports Voucher - PROCESS TO BE CONFIRMED

I live and play in TASMANIA (Ticket To Play Voucher)
Redeeming your Ticket to Play Voucher:
Important - this process will NOT automatically reduce your registration fees. You still need to supply your Voucher to your local Club/Association for them to redeem your Voucher amount from the TAS government.
Step 1 - Visit the TAS Government website to apply for a Sports Voucher. Once your application is complete, you will receive a Voucher with a unique ID Voucher code for each child you register.
You MUST have a valid Ticket To Play Voucher to continue to step 2.
Step 2 - Enter your Ticket To Play Voucher code in the Additional Question section of the registration form.

If your Club requires payment at time of registration, you may still need to pay the full registration fee at time of registration. Check with your Club for how they manage payment with a Ticket To Play Voucher.
Step 4 - Present or email a copy of your Ticket To Play Voucher to your local Club/Association so they can redeem it and apply it to your registration fees.
I live and play in VICTORIA (Get Active Kids Voucher)
Redeeming your Get Active Kids Voucher:
Important - this process will NOT automatically reduce your registration fees. You still need to supply your Voucher to your local Club/Association for them to redeem your Voucher amount from the VIC government.
Step 1 - Visit the VIC Government website to apply for a Sports Voucher. Once your application is complete, you will receive a Voucher with a unique ID Voucher code for each child you register.
You MUST have a valid Get Active Kids Voucher to continue to step 2.
Step 2 - Enter your Get Active Kids Voucher code in the Additional Question section of the registration form.

I live and play in WESTERN AUSTRALIA (KidSport Voucher)
Redeeming your KidSport Voucher:
Important - this process will NOT automatically reduce your registration fees. You may still need to supply your Voucher to your local Club/Association for them to redeem your Voucher amount from the WA government.
Step 1 - Visit the WA Government website to apply for a KidSport Voucher. Once your application is complete, you will receive a Voucher with a unique ID Voucher code for each child you register.
You MUST have a valid KidSport Voucher to continue to step 2.
Step 2 - Enter your KidSport Voucher code in the Additional Question section of the registration form.

I live and play in AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY
Unfortunately ACT residents do not currently have access to a government-run Junior Sports Voucher program similar to those in other states. For more information about grants available in your area, contact your local Club/Association or visit the ACT Sport & Recreation website.
Redemption FAQs
I live in one state/territory, but play in another. Can I still use a Voucher?
In most cases, you unfortunately can NOT use your Voucher at a Club across state/territory lines.

The Voucher amount isn't deducting from my registration fee amount. Why not?
The Voucher amount will only be automatically deducted from your registration fee if you are using an Active Kids voucher in New South Wales. This is because our system can check with NSW Active Kids for validity then funds are released to Clubs from the NSW Active Kids program.
At this stage, this option is not available for other states/territories. When registering to Clubs outside of NSW, you are only providing the Voucher code to your Club/Association and they still need to complete the redemption process with their relevant government agency.
I entered my Voucher code during registration. Do I still need to give my Voucher to the Club?
In most cases, yes. The Club will need to confirm the Voucher code corresponds with the Player name.
Check with your Club/Association or your state/territory's website for more details.
Why enter my Voucher code if it won't discount my registration?
Entering your Voucher code at time of registration can help speed up the redemption process at your Club so you can get the Voucher amount assigned to your registration fees sooner.
